The Registered Staff Nurse is a professional registered nurse who works in collaboration with the physician to provide quality care that is focused on the well-being of the patient.
The aesthetic nurse ideal candidate is a Kansas Licensed Registered Nurse with exceptional people skills and a minimum of 2 years injecting experience. The aesthetic nurse is responsible for all aspects of patient care and will include taking medical histories, performing skin care consults and completing injectable appointments (including, but not limited to: Botox, Xeomin, Radiesse, Juvederm & Voluma).

This position requires a customer service oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills for the purpose of delivering efficient care and services to patients from diverse ethnic and social groups. Independent decision making is expected in the execution of all duties. May be assigned to assume leadership responsibilities, therefore be able to delegate patient care and duties based on the ability of co-workers. Must strive to maintain the professional standards of nursing which include utilizing the theoretical framework of the nursing process and critical thinking to assess, plan, provide, delegate, supervise, manage and evaluate patient care.

This position collaborates with the physician and reports to the Clinic Director.

Job Requirements

General Nursing Knowledge and skills:
1. Knowledge of the normal signs of aging and ability to provide age appropriate care
2. Strong knowledge of current patient care techniques/ trends in skin care and injectables
3. Develops treatment plans with patients and manages expectations of results
4. Works with staff members to ensure patient appointments flow smoothly
5. Monitors inventory levels of supplies; orders appropriately
6. Follows all HIPAA and Infection control guidelines
7. Demonstrates interpersonal relationships in a manner which enhances communication and promotes conflict resolution and facilitates staff development
8. Computer competency (manages files, utilize Excel spreadsheets, email proficiency)
9. Skill in time management with the ability to work independently and take initiative
10. Skill in interpersonal, oral, and written communication
11. Ability to be sensitive and show positive regard for fellow employees, patients and families.
12. Ability to take direction, work efficiently under pressure, set priorities and use good judgment.
13. Ability to willingly accept responsibility
14. Navigate electronic medical records with ease

Clinic Specific Skills
1. Works efficiently as a leader of the clinical team.
2. Provides instruction, direction, and positive feedback to other clinical staff members in a consistent, fair, timely and respectful manner.
3. Is responsible for the orientation of all new clinical staff members
4. Responsible for the day to day patient workflow
5. Facilitates daily clinical meeting with provider
6. Maintains, consistently demonstrates and is able to teach others the medical knowledge and nursing skills necessary.
7. Maintains competency in nursing skills through continuing education.
8. Willingness to expand knowledge and skills to benefit the services of the clinic

Education and experience:
1. Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.

Licensure, registration or certification:
1. Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Kansas.
2. Certification in CPR/Basic Life Support.
3. Certification for injectables preferred.
