Speech Therapy

 This position will be full time starting in March.  Potential exists for PRN hours prior.

A staff speech-language pathologist assumes responsibility in the daily activities of the rehab services department. This includes evaluating and developing treatment plans for out-patients, in-patients, and IRU patients.  Potential also exists for Home Health hours.

He/she is directly responsible to the manager, and has the responsibility for overall direction, utilization, supervision, instruction, and evaluation of professional and supportive staff, and students in their area of the rehab services department/facility.

In addition, the staff therapist is involved in documenting as necessary and appropriate, while also assisting, or actively participating, in CQI and safety procedures for the department/facility.

Job Requirements


  1. Graduate of an approved school of Speech-Language Pathology with a preferred minimum of two (2) years’ experience.       
  2. Must have a certificate from an ASHA accredited school of Speech Therapy.
  3. Preferably maintains membership in ASHA
  4. Must have, or be eligible for, State Licensure. Licensure must be obtained within one (1) year of hire date.
    1. Maintains current state registration with the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts.
    2. Obtains and maintains verification card of current instruction in CPR.
